The pricing is unusually transparent for contractor software but easy to misread. Starter has no membership fee, gives a new user’s first three projects free without a credit card, and then charges standard per-project rates. Pro costs $99 per month or $999 per year and still charges per project; the membership reduces each project price by $20 and unlocks premium features. Enterprise uses custom pricing and adds controls and support for larger organizations.

HOVER is worth testing when a roofing, siding, window, exterior-remodeling, restoration, or multi-trade team can reuse the same property data across scope, design, estimate, and production. It is less compelling when project volume is low, field staff cannot consistently capture usable photos, the required structures or details fall outside the model, or the contractor expects a 3D report to eliminate field verification and professional judgment.

Do not buy it based on a generic accuracy percentage. Hover markets “to-the-inch” measurements, but its current Terms of Use disclaim warranties that the platform or data will be accurate, complete, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. A responsible rollout needs reference measurements, report review, exception handling, and a clear rule for which dimensions crews must verify before ordering or installing.

The official HOVER product page describes a four-step construction flow: capture property photos, transform them into a measured 3D model, review measurements, and apply real products in a 3D design. HOVER Pricing in 2026

Hover’s construction pricing page is the source of truth for the figures below as of August 8, 2026. Prices can change; capture the page or obtain a written quote on the day you buy.

Plans

Pro does not include unlimited scans, and its membership payment does not become project credit. Hover says all users on a Pro account share the same plan and are billed to one credit card. Pro users can earn $1,000 in Hover credits for each $10,000 of qualifying project spend; the current FAQ says credits are deposited after the threshold, expire after 12 months, and expire immediately when a Pro term ends after cancellation or downgrade.

Exterior measurement pricing

Blueprint measurement rates are higher. The current page lists full-exterior blueprint projects at $99/$199/$299 on Starter and $79/$179/$279 on Pro for simple/average/complex structures. Blueprint roof-only projects are $49/$99/$149 on Starter and $29/$79/$129 on Pro. Interior scans are priced separately by square footage.

Each separately modeled structure is a separate order. A property with a house, detached garage, and shed can therefore have a different cost from one structure at the same address.

When does Pro break even on project discounts?

On scan discounts alone:

• Monthly: $99 ÷ $20 = 4.95, so the fifth paid project in a month covers the monthly membership difference
• Annual: $999 ÷ $20 = 49.95, so 50 paid projects per year cover the annual membership difference
• Annualized pace: 50 projects ÷ 12 is about 4.2 paid projects per month

This is a simple pricing comparison, not full ROI. It excludes tax, expedited fees, credits, premium-feature value, implementation time, corrections, integration work, and any effect on sales or production. If a team would not use Pro features, the $20 discount is the cleanest break-even test. If it will use estimates, integrations, designs, agreements, or ordering, measure those workflows separately.

How the Exterior Scan Works

Hover’s exterior scan guide says a project can begin with eight photos: one of each side and corner. Users choose roof only, full exterior, or photos only. Photos-only capture can be stored without charge and converted into a measurement order later.

The process is simple to describe but not automatic in every field condition:

1. Create the project and enter its name, address, and optional claim or lead information
2. Choose the deliverable and billing wallet
3. Follow the in-app capture grid around the structure
4. Add more model photos when one image cannot show a side or corner
5. Collect at least one reference measurement before leaving when practical
6. Choose standard or expedited delivery and submit
7. Review the completed model, measurement PDF, images, and any alerts

Photos placed in the extra documentation area are stored in the gallery but are not used to build the model. Staff need to understand the difference between adding model imagery and adding claim or inspection evidence.

Capture limitations to test

Hover’s help center documents common causes of a paused project:

• Blurry or low-resolution images
• Corners that are too close or incomplete

• Night images without enough light

Train the team to step back, include both ground and sky where possible, use landscape orientation, capture every corner, and change position around obstructions. A failed or paused submission can erase the expected time advantage if the photographer has already left the site.

Measurements: Useful Data, Not Automatic Truth

Hover markets complete exterior measurements and “to-the-inch” accuracy. Its current Workspace help says the typical roof-and-siding dataset averages 285 individual measurements. Those are vendor descriptions, not an independently verified error bound.

The current Terms of Use say the platform and Hover data are provided “as is” and disclaim warranties of accuracy, completeness, uninterrupted operation, compatibility, and fitness for a particular purpose. That legal language makes operational QA essential.

Before ordering material or fabricating a custom component:

• Confirm the exact structure and measurement type
• Review every facet, opening, edge, and excluded structure relevant to the scope
• Compare one or more field reference measurements

Non-roofed decks and patios are typically excluded from the model. Hover says roofed porches are generally included, while balconies appear at a basic level without fine railing detail. Make excluded geometry explicit in the estimator’s checklist.

3D and 2D Design

The scaled 3D model lets users inspect property geometry, measurements, materials, and design options. Pro and Enterprise include 2D Design; Starter users can try premium features but should confirm what remains available after the initial experience.

Hover is rolling out a redesigned 3D experience in phases during 2026. The current help center says measurements and material selection now appear in a connected 3D view, but some accounts may still see the previous interface. Existing design choices are preserved, and the downloadable measurement PDF continues to reflect the original scan rather than later design edits.

A design rendering is a sales and scoping aid. It is not a guarantee of final color, texture, installation detail, lighting, or workmanship. Contractors should use current manufacturer samples, specifications, installation instructions, and signed scope documentation before the sale becomes a material order.

Estimates, Material Lists, and Agreements

Pro and Enterprise include production-ready and sales-estimate features on the current comparison table. Hover can pull measurements and selected materials into a template, apply coverage, waste, labor, fees, markup, taxes, financing, and promotions according to account settings, and produce branded agreements.

That can reduce re-entry, but an estimate is only as good as its inputs and rules. During evaluation, validate:

• Product catalog, SKU, coverage, bundle, and accessory logic
• Waste calculation by roof, siding, trim, and mixed-material condition
• Labor rates and labor units
• Tax, markup, overhead, margin, fee, discount, and financing behavior

Integrations and Exports

Hover documents a broad integration catalog spanning Xactimate/Verisk, Cotality, ABC Supply, SRS/Roof Hub, QXO, AccuLynx, CompanyCam, JobNimbus, ServiceTitan, JobTread, Leap, and other construction systems. Availability and direction vary by plan and partner.

The Pro plan’s pricing table includes CRM and other integrations, pricing integrations, and direct supplier ordering. Starter lists API access and selected claims integrations but not the general CRM/integration feature row. Enterprise adds organizational controls and custom product lists.

Available export types can include PDF, XLS/XLSX, XML, JSON, ESX, SKP, DWG, and DXF, depending on the deliverable and plan. Do not buy from the logo list alone. Test:

• Who initiates project creation
• Which address, contact, image, measurement, estimate, and status fields move
• Whether sync is one-way or two-way

Data and Privacy Questions

Creating a model involves a property address plus exterior images or blueprint files. Hover’s Privacy Policy also describes account, device, usage, location, support, and integration data. If a contractor invites a homeowner to scan, the workflow affects that homeowner’s property data and images.

The current Terms grant Hover broad rights to use submitted User Data for providing, maintaining, improving, researching, and developing its platform, including model training. A business should review the precise language with its privacy and legal advisers, confirm it has the required notices and permissions, and decide what employee, customer, claim, or property information staff may upload.

Enterprise buyers should examine the current Data Processing Addendum, retention, account-administrator access, integrations, security documentation, single sign-on, permissions, incident terms, deletion/export process, and data location relevant to their obligations.

HOVER is most likely to earn a place in the stack for:

Reasons to Stay on Starter or Choose Another Workflow

Starter or another solution may be more rational when:

• The business orders fewer than five paid projects in a typical month and does not need Pro features
• Most work needs only a roof-only report and premium design/estimate tools add little value
• Field crews cannot reliably produce unobstructed app photos
• Required structures or details are not included in the deliverable
